Published · Last updated
Short answer
When a business dispute begins, preserve the agreement and the records of performance. Separate unpaid invoices, disputed decisions and other losses so we can understand each concern.
Start with the agreement and the timeline
Save a complete copy of the agreement, including attachments and amendments. Write down the main dates. If you do not know a date, mark it as uncertain.
- Contracts and amendments
- Invoices, payment records and financial statements
- Ownership records, notices and complete correspondence
